音叉傳感器通過測量施加在長而窄的振動器上的負載時振動頻率的變化來測量，并以數字方式輸出讀數。
與測壓元件或電磁系統不同，音叉傳感器不依賴于材料的形狀、電磁力、大功率消耗或A/D轉換器，因此它很靈敏
誤差幅度極小，精度高，可長期保持。
